Lyceum Theatre

Lyceum Theatre is a historic theatre located in the heart of London's West End. Currently wowing audiences with the multi award winning Lion King, now in it's 24th year.

The Lyceum Theatre first opened over 200 years ago in 1765, and was and continues to be one of the West End's most iconic and prominent theatres. The theatre opened as the 'English Opera House', however burnt down in 1830, which led to the construction of the 'Theatre Royal Lyceum & English Opera House'.

The theatre is also famous for being the writing place of 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker in 1987, with Theatre Manager Henry Irving providing real life inspiration for the character!

In 1978 the Lyceum Theatre was Grade II listed to prevent further demolition and has since played host to shows including Oklahoma!, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Lion King.
