Penhaligon's Market Building

Penhaligon’s is something of a Covent Garden institution with two perfume boutiques - one on Wellington Street and a second in Covent Garden's iconic Market Building. You will find their Market Building store down Central Avenue in the heart of Covent Garden where the team can guide you through the scents and discover the perfect fragrance for you.

William Penhaligon was a witty, wildly creative Victorian inspired by the unusual. He created his first scent, Hammam Bouquet, in 1872 after inhaling the steam and sulphurous aromas of his neighbouring Turkish baths and went on to become Barber and Perfumer to the Royal Court.

Penhaligon’s has been dispensing original scents for the discerning modern dandies and bold women ever since and currently stocks collections of perfumes, eau de cologne, candles and gift sets in both Covent Garden boutiques.
