After the openings of Gloria then Circolo Popolare, it is with great pleasure to announce the arrival of an Italian Restaurant in Covent Garden. A neighborhood filled with culture and crazy energy that just seemed ideal for the opening of our largest trattoria to date.
Ave Mario is 700 m2 of pure paradise, managed by our funky squadra of 120 Italians. Inspired by an idyllic day in Florence, a « Church » version 2.0, the 295 seats are spread over 3 spaces. Our youngest Head Chef Andrea heads up the kitchen with a brand-spanking-new menu serving up our first ‘biga’ pizzas, giant carbonara ravioli and La Gran Scaloppina alla Millanese made with high-welfare rose veal. Not forgetting dolci, where a feat of gelato engineering has created our 60cm tall Gelato Tower.
The perfect spot for a date with your lover, a lunch with your BFF or a family meal just as you like it. Ave Mario is open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
La squadra Ave Mario offers reservations for certain tables. Whilst there are a few spots saved just for walk-ins, for those who come to see us by chance.
It ’s more than 1000 boys and girls passionate about Italian food in Covent Garden. One goal : making your Ave Mario visit the best part of your day.
The adventure began in 2015 with Victor Lugger and Tigrane Seydoux, two guys passionate about Italy and its welcoming vibe. They spent 1 year across the boot sourcing the best products from Emilia to Puglia.
Since then, the crew has opened 15 trattorias in 3 countries and 4,500 sqm food market - La Felicit in Paris, France. They work directly with the 150 producers and are constantly exploring new facets of Italian cooking from pizzas to Italian meats with every opening. Each trattoria has its own vibe, and everything is homemade: from the pasta fresca, to the fluffy Neapolitan pizza, the roasted coffee, and creamy gelato.
The mission of this passionate team? - To offer delicious, authentic and generous Italian food at affordable prices, served with a smile. The group operates Gloria in Shoreditch, Circolo Popolare in Fitzrovia, a delivery service Napoli Gang and now has opened Ave Mario in Covent Garden.
